In his interaction with Vimal, Rohit unveiled some of his favourite cricket preferen🐬ces, including the name of the bowler who gave him the toughest cha🍸llenge, the batter with the best pull shot and much more.

From being left out of India’s 2011 World Cup team to becoming the captain of India’s 2023 World Cup squad, Rohit’s story is nothing short of a fairy tale. His leadership skills and exceptional batting performances have earned him numerous accolades over the years, including India’s recent triumph in the Asia Cup. A batter with a brilliant best pull shot himself, Rohit picked Ricky Ponting as the best exponent of this shot. Ponting’s ability to dispatch short-pitched deliveries to the boundary was a sight to behold.

Rohit’s choice for the best scoop went to Suryakumar Yadav. The scoop shot is a daring, innovative and unconventional stroke, but Suryakumar has surely made it look like aꦆn effective approach to batting in recent times.

Toughest bowler

Perhaps the most intriguing revelation from Rohit’s interview was his choice for the toughest bowler he has faced. He straightaway named Dale Steyn as the toughest and most challengin🌳g. Rohit even praised Steyn for being a class player with sheer pace and the ability to consistently bowl in the right areas.

“If a bowler who has ever challenged me and I enjoyed playing against him then I’ll have say Dale Steyn. He is a class player, he got all the skills and I think this is the reason he doesn’t miss a bounce and can swing so fast and I think there are very less people who could swing 140+ and I think he was the one who could do it consistentl,” said Rohit.

India’s World Cup Campaign
