The 13th edition of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 is set to kick off on October 5, featuring an exciting opening match between the defending champions, England, and the runners-up of the 2019 World Cup, New Zealand.
This World Cup edition promises to be unique as it marks India’s sole hosting of the prestigious multi-nation ICC event. Notably, India has co-hosted the World Cup in 1987, 1996 and 2011. Ten teams will compete in this thirteenth editio✃n of the ICC event, with matches scheduled to run ✨from October 5 to November 19.
India secured their spot as hosts, while the following seven teams earned their place through their Super League performance: New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa.

Amid the ongoing buzz, the International Cricket Council (ICC)💝 has announced the prize money for the upcoming ICC e𝔉vent.
ICC announces♔ the prize money of 10 million US Dollars
The ICC has unveiled a substantial prize pool of USD 10 million for the forthcoming global cricket tournament. In this allocation, the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup winners are set to pocket an impressive USD 4 million from the total prize fund. The runners-up will secure a commendable prize of USD 2 million, while the teams that reach the semi-final stage, only to narrowly miss out on the title, will be granted USD 800,000 each.
In addition to the main prize distribution, the teams will be remunerated during the tournament’s Group Stage as well. Teams will receive USD 40,000 for each triumph in their Group Stage matches. Furthermore, after the Group Stage, teams that do not progress to the knockout rounds will be granted USD 100,000 each as a consolation prize.
