The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced that applications are open for the roles of Indian women’s team bowling and fielding coaches. However, it is important to note that the head coach position in the women’s team still remains vacant.

Although former India spinner Nooshin Al Khadeer served as theℱ interim coach of the Women in Blue during their last month, the appointment of a full-time head coach is yet to be made by the Indian management.

BCCI invites applications for India women’s bowling and fielding coaches:

Amidst the delay over the head coach’s appointment, the BCCI is currently on the lookout for a qualified and experienced candidate to assume the position of bowling and fielding coach.

According to the BCCI’s latest official release, the selected individuals for the roles of bowling and fielding coaches will be offered a two-year tenure and will report directly to the head coach once the position is filled. One of the key prerequisites for the applicants is that they must have represented India or any other nation at an international level in cricket.

Apart from this, there are also reports of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) proposing the name of domestic batting veteran Amol Muzumdar a൲s a potential candidate for the head coach position.

Indian women’s team’s next assignment:

Indian women’s team’s next appearance on the field will be in the upcoming Asian Games. The prestigious multi-sport event will be hosted in China and is scheduled to take place from September 23 to October ꦰ28, with cricket matches commencing from September 19.

It is worth mentioning that India is among the few teams that have already booked their spots in the quarterfinals based on their impressive performances at the international level. Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the other popular and top-performing Asian teams to secure a spo🌃t in the quarterfinals.
