Suzie Bates returns to top five, Harmanpreet Kaur makes notable rise in Women’s T20I Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest women’s rankings which witnessed Suzie Bates, the prominent New Zealand star, regaining her position among the top five in the Women’s T20I Batting Rankings. Bates, previously ranked at the top, has risen three places to secure the fifth position, thanks to her impressive scores of 44 and 52 in New Zealand’s series against Sri Lanka. These performances have propelled her team to a commanding 2-0 lead.

Similarly, India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur has surged back into the top 10 batters’ charts. in the opening T20I against Bangladesh has propelled her four places to claim the 10th position. The recent update also takes into account the second and third matches of the England-Australia series, as well as all three matches of the West Indies versus Ireland series. Windies skipper Hayley Matthews has emerged as a significant 🥂gainer in thꦉe rankings.

Named the ‘Player of the Series’ for her exceptional contributions with both bat and ball, Matthews has made significant strides. She has ascended five places to secure the 17th position among batters, thanks to her scores of 37, 50, and 48. Moreover, her eight wickets in the series have lifted her three places to the seventh position among bowlers.

Matthews has achieved a career-best rating of 422 points in the all-rounders’ list, but she remains in the second position, behind Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who leads the rankings with 435 points. She has previously held the top all-rounder spot in October 2017.

Another all-rounder on the rise is New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr. Following her scores of 34 and an unbeaten 33, Kerr has moved up two places to the 15th position among batters. Additionally, her two wickets in the first ⛎match have propelled 𒉰her three places up to the 11th position among bowlers. She has also climbed one slot to secure the third position among all-rounders.

Notable batters who have made gains in the T20I rankings include Danni Wyatt of England, who has risen three places to claim the 14th position, and Ellyse Perry, the Australian all-rounde𝓡r, who has climbe🌟d six spots to secure the 25th position.

In terms of bowlers, White Ferns’ pacer Lea Tuhuhu has moved up two places to secure the sixth position, while New Zealand spinner Fran Jonas has ascended three places to the 16th position. Additionally, Sri Lanka’s left-arm seamer Udeshika Prabodhani has made significant progress by moving up🐲 eight places to secure the 28th position.

In the Women’s ODI Player Rankings, which were updated following the three-match series between the Netherlands and Thailand, Thai opener Natthakan Chantham has climbed seven places to secure the 22nd position after he🧸r scores of 65 and 64.

Thailand’s captain Naruemol Chaiwi has also made significant strides, rising seven places to claim the 36th position. Furthermore, Dutch seam bowler Iris Zwilling has gained eight places to secure the 41st position after her impressive performance of grabbing🍰 five wickets in two matches.
