In a thrilling encounter at Grand Prairie Stadium, MI New York (MINY) emerged victorious against the Texas Super🎐 Kings💟 (TSK) in the Challenger match of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023. With the victory, MINY also secured final berth where they will face Seattle Orcas on Sunday (July 30).

Opting to bowl first, New York’s decision paid off well as they managed to restrict Super Kings to a total of 158 runs. TSK’ innings started with a slow pace, and their opener Faf du Plessis struggled to g🔯et going🌺, scoring only 6 runs off 9 balls.
Devon Conway was the standout performer for TSK, contributing 38 runs off 35 deliveries. Other notable contributions came from Milind Kumar (37 runs off 34 balls) and David Miller (17 runs off 10 bal🌃ls). However𝄹, the team faced constant pressure from the New York bowlers.
Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers for the Nicholas Pooran-led side, displaying a sensational spell of fast bowling. He claimed a sensational four-wicket haul, conceding only 24 runs in his four overs. Although Slade van Staden and Nicholas Pooran had a relatively quiet outing, Dewald Brevis played a vital innings of 41 runs off 3♌3 balls to steady the chase.
Tim (33 runs off 20 balls) and David Wiese (19 runs off 11 balls) accelerated the innings further, helping MI New York reach the target comfortably with an over to spare. For the Super Kings, Daniel Sams and Rusty Theron were among the wicket-takers, boꦍth claiming one wicket💃 each. However, their efforts were not enough to defend the target as New York’s batters proved to be too strong on the day.
