Iceland Cricket have gained a reputation for their witty and hum🐷orous takes primarily through their active presence on social media platforms, particularly Twitter. Their offꦅicial Twitter account has become well-known for the clever, tongue-in-cheek commentary, often accompanied by playful banter and amusing remarks.

Their humorous takes encompass a wide range of subjects related to cricket, including team performances, player antics, and international cricketing events. Continuing with their unique approach, Iceland Cricket have taken a harsh dig at England Cricket and all-rounder Moeen Ali.

Iceland targeted Moeen, who had announced his retirement but made a comeback as England’s frontline spinner in the ongoing Ashes 2023 following Jack Leach ruling out development. Iceland Cricket poke fun at Moeen’s promotion in the batting order despite not playing any first-class cricket for 2 years and having made minimal contributions with the bat.

“We want to have a PR team like Moeen Ali’s. Hasn’t played first-class cricket for 2 years and has become England’s frontline spinner in an Ashes series, and now he has worked his way up the batting order from no. 7 to no. 3 with virtually no runs,” wrote Iceland Cricket on Twitter.

Notably, the Ashes 2023 has reached a thrilling stage where the Aussies were leading 2-0 be🦄fore England bounced back in dramatic style to record a comeback triumph. The fourth Test is scheduled to begin from July 19 in Old Trafford which is James Anderson‘s home ground.

Anderson, who had an average performance in the first two Tests, was left out of the previous match. However, the 40-year-old fast bowler is now set to make his comeback, replacing Ollie Robinson in the playing XI.

Moeen acknowledged the significance of Anderson’s inclusion, emphasizing that England become a better team with him in the lineup. In a statement, he said: “There’s no doubt England are a better team with James Anderson in there. In the two games he played I actually thought he bowled really well in both of them. I think he’s been a bit unfortunate with catches and things probably not going his way.”
