This victory🌜 led Essex to third place in the south group with 4 points, while it was the second defeat out of three for🎃 Sussex. They are now in sixth place with a net run rate going down to negative.

One of the most popular figures in England’s domestic circuit, Essex skipper Simon Harmer ꧟made an incredible impact against Sussex . The 34-year-old returned with excellent🍎 figures of 4/28 to help his side bundle out the opposition for 138 in 18.4 overs after setting the target of 164. Three of his four wickets came in his opening over, and more importantly, he got rid of all three batters on the first three balls of his spell, resulting in a hat- trick.
