Former India all-rounder Suresh Raina, one of the most successful batters in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, is set to make a comeback to professional cricket. Raina, who represented the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the majority of his IPL career, will be seen in action during the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023.
The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) recently released a list of international and domestic cricketers who will be auctioned off during the LPL 2023. Raina’s name features prominently among the players up for auction, sparking excitement among fans and cricket enthusiasts.
The five-team tournament is schedul🐼ed to commence on July 31, providing an opportunity for Raina t🧔o showcase his skills on the field once again. The 205 IPL games veteran has an impressive record, having scored over 5500 runs, which includes an unbeaten century.
Raina played a crucial role in CSK’s title triumphs in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021, earning him a reputation as a match-winner and a dependable performer. His contributions to CSK’s success over the years have made him a fan favorite and a respected figure in Indian cricket.
The announcement of Raina’s retirement from all forms of cricket in September 2022 had left many fans disappointed. However, his return to the field for the Legends League Cricket (LLC) in March this year offered𝔍 a glimp𓃲se of his enduring talent and passion for the game.
