In the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Chennai Super🐈 Kings (CSK) are hosting arch-rivals M🌳umbai Indians (MI) at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Notably, the battle between CSK and MI is often considered 🌳to be one of the most intense rivalries in the league due to the consistent performances of both teams over the years and the competitive spirit displayed by the players on the field.
MS Dhoni, the superhero of Chennai, won the toss in the first game of the Saturday’s double header and decided to bowl first. During the toss, both skippers revealed their teams for the high-voltage clash. While the Super Kings made no change in t🙈heir playing XI, the five-time winners MIღ came up with a couple of changes.
Raghav Goyal was given the debut cap replacing Kumar Kartikeya and Tristan Stubbs also made his way into the playing XI in place of in-form batter Tilak Varma. MI skipper Rohit Sharma revealed th🐽e reason behind✨ Tilak’s absence from the final XI. Rohit mentioned that Tilak was feeling ill and hence they went with Stubbs.
“Going pretty well, had a couple of good games, just about continuing the momentum. We have some worries, but we’ve started to do well. It’s been challenging to find the right players and the right combinations. We know our strengths and the players who can fit in. Two changes for him – Kumar Kartikeya is OUT, a debut for Raghav Goyal. Tilak Varma is ill, he’s replaced by Tristan Stubbs,” said Rohit.
