Sunil Philip Narine was born on 26 May 1988 in Trinidad and Tobago.

His father named him Sunil, inspired by the legendary Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar.

Narine was the best friend of Kevon Cooper at school, and it was due to him only that Kevon’s iꦰnterest diverted from football to cricket.

He made his debut in fi🦄rst-class cricket for Trinidad and Tobago in February 2009 and his List A debut on October 2011 in the Regional Super💃50.

Meanwhile, 🍌Narine’s first appearance for West Indies in One Day International💯 (ODI) and Test cricket came in December 2011 and June 2012, respectively.

Notably, India’s star batter Virat Kohli was his first ODI wicket.

He got his maiden T20I cap on 27 March 2012.

Narine also won the ICC Emerging ꦦPlayer of the Year award in 2012.

The of🅘f-spinner has the ability toꦐ bowl six different variations in a single over.

He was roped in by the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise for $700,000 the s🅰ame year and went on to become ꦆthe player of the tournament with 24 wickets in that season.

Narine tied the knot with Nandita Kumar through Indian wedding rituals in 2013.

Narine is the only bowler in T20 cri💯cket history to bowl a maiden in a sup𝓡er over. He achieved the feat against Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel in CPL 2014.

Narine was also part of 💟the 2016 T20 World Cup winning squad of West Indie🌌s.

He won the MPV award for the second time꧙ in the 2018 IPL. He took 17 wickets along with 357 runs in 16♔ matches.

Nari𒊎ne has been part of the Kolkata-based franchise since his IPL debut and hasn’t switched to any other team so far.

The West Indies c𒀰ricketer has played in almost all major leagues worldwide, including IPL, BPL, CPL, PSL, and the Hundred.
