Shaheen Afridi, the tall fast bowler from Pakistan, tied the knot with Ansha, the daughter of former captain Shahid Afridi, in February this year. With the new relation, Shahid has become the father-in-law of Shaheen, however, the former doesn’t like it when the fast bowler terms him as his father-in-law.
During a recent interview, Shahid comically advised Shaheen to avoid calling him ‘sasur’ which translates to father-in-law in English. The former Pakistan skipper justified this by pointing out his recent cricket triumph, winning the Legends League Cricket trophy. Notably, Shahid led the Asia Lions to a convincing 7-wicket victory over the World Giants in the tournament’s final match.
“Sasur, tumhare muh se main dubara na sunu (I don’t want to hear this word from your mouth again),” Shahid told Sha🧔heen during an interview on Samaa TV.
“So if he has won trophy (in PSL for Lahore Qalandars), I have also won the trophy in Qatar (Legends League Cricket),” the spin sensation added.

Shaheen expressed the significance of his experience of 🍸bowling against Shahid in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) five years ago. The left-arm pacer also disclosed the nature of his relationship with one of Pakistan’s꧃ biggest superstars.
“He is my role model. He has been the inspiration for me. I have enjoyed Lala’s batting, I used to switch off TV when he used to get out. Ye mere hero hai. He is like my friend,” said Shaheen.
It is worth mentioning that in March, La♋hore Qalandars clinched their second successive Pa🎐kistan Super League (PSL) championship with a breathtaking last-ball victory over Mu🤡ltan Sultans, under the leadership of Shaheen. In the process, Shaheen also became the first captain to bag back-to-back PSL titles.
