In Saturday’s doubleheader, Mumbai Indians (MI) are hosting Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 31 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Wankhede Stadium.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bowl first. PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh took the innings off to a flyer and quickly scored 26 from just 17 balls, including 2 sixes and a four. As Prabhsimran was looking to cruise further and accelerate more, MI pacer Arjun Tendulkar bowled a beauty to get rid of Punjab’s opener.

Arjun, however, had a terrible outing otherwise, aℱs he ended up conceding 48 runs in 3 overs, including an expensive over where he gave up 31 runs. Not just Arjun, the Punjab batters took other MI bowlers to the cleaners as well as the Sam Curran-led side went on to po꧒st a massive total of 214/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
Captain Curran led from the front and smacked 55 from just 29 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Similarly, Harpreet Singh scored a quickfire 28-ball 41 with the help of 4 fours and 2 maximums. Jitesh Sharma played a jaw-dropping cameo of 25 ♒from just 7 deliveries, in🌊cluding 4 humungous sixes.
