Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign on a great note as they registered a dominating win over Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday (April 2). Faf du Pܫlessis and Virat Kohli were the standout performers for the Bangalore-based team, as they scored 73 and 82 runs, respectively. The tea🌞m was thrilled to begin the 16th edition of the Indian league with a grand win and celebrated the victory in style after the mat♈ch.
Post the game, RCB skipper Du Plessis was seen teaching David Willey the team’s new anthem and singing along with him in the process. The former South Africa captain was soon joined by other teammates, including Glenn Maxwell and Kohli, who added more charm to the party. Shorꦯtly, the whole dress🦩ing room sang the anthem in chorus and danced on it as well. Among all, Kohli looked the most excited as he also came up with a few moves for the song.
The new anthem that has been unveiled by the team on which the players vibed and danced is: “Pants are red, shirt is blue, the golden lion shining through, we’re RCB, we’re playing bold.”
During the celebration, Du Plessis was even seen lifting the former India captain, which w𒁏as followed by a funny walk from Kohli. The official handle of RCB posted the video of the same on Twitter, 🍒and it didn’t take long for the clip to go viral on the internet.

RCB will next face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 6 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The way the Bangalore-based team have started their IPL 2023, they would surely be eying to carry the momentum and claim their maiden title this year. Notably, RCB reached the playoffs of IPL 2022 but ended the league at the fꦓourth spot in the points table.
