Indian superstar Virat Kohli finally ended his Test century drought when he reached the triple-figure score on Day 4 of tᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhe ongoing fourth and final Test against Australia in Ahmedabad.
Kohli lit up the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium by smashing his first century in the longest format since 2019 when he had slammed a ton against Bangladesh. Kohli desperately needed this hundred, and it did🌞n’t come easy as it was the second slowest ton in terms of balls faced for the former India skipper. Kohli took 41 innings to reach his 28th Test ton.
Most innings between two Test hundreds for Virat Kohli:
- 41 innings between 27th & 28th 100s*
- 11 innings between 11th & 12th 100s
- 10 innings between 6th & 7th 100s
- 10 innings between 25th & 26th 100s
It was also the 16th Test ton for Kohli against Australia. The record for most number of centuries against the Aussies is currently held by Sachin Tendulkar.
