Rohit Sharma set a new record on Friday (February 10) by becoming the first Indian captain to hit a century across all three formats of international🦹 cricket. Rohit achieved the feat on Day 2 of the ongoing Test against Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
Rohit reached his hundred in 171 deliveries as he led India’s charge after the hosts bundled out the tourists for just 177 on the opening day of the match.
It was also Rohit’s maiden Test hundred against the Aussies and ninth overall. He got out soon after the tea break as opposite captain Pat Cummins sent his off-stump cartwheeling with the seco﷽nd new ball.
Rohit’s 345-minute vigil at the spin-friendly Nagpur surface fetched him 120 runs, and his knock was laced with 15 fours and two sixes.
