Sara Tendulkar started trending on Twitter soon after India’s opening batter Shubman Gill smashe෴d a record-breaking century in the third and final T20I against the Blackcaps at the Narendra 🎃Modi Stadium on Wednesday.
Sara, the daughter of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, has been linked with Shubman for a long time. There were reports of the two dating each other before Gill was spotted with Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan at a restaurant in Mumbai🧜 last year. However, neither of the three has come out to clear the speculations made by the paparazzi.
The 23-year-old Gill took just 54 balls to smash his maiden century in the shortest format of the game. Shubman hit 12 fours and 7 sixes during his unbeaten kno🥃ck of 126, and it impressed fans and cricket experts.
In his record-breaking inning, the Punjab lad surpassed former India captain Virat Kohliᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ, who earlier held the record for slamming the highest-score by an Indian in T20Is. Kohli scored 12🌜2 not out against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup.

After receiving his ‘Player of the Match’ award as India thrashed New Zealand by a heavy margin of 168 runs, Gill said: “It feels good when you practice and it pays off. I was backing myself to score big. Didn’t happen in the Sri Lanka series, but happy to see it work out now. Everybody has a different technique to hit sixes.”
He added: “When you represent your country, there is no fatigue. It was my dream to play for India, and I am very fortunate to be part of the team in all three formats.”
