Former India opener Murali Vijay announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on Monday, January 30. Vijay, who played his first match for India in 2008, t♛ook to Twitter to share the news.
In his career, Vijay played 61 Test matches and amassed 3982 runs. The 38-year also represented the country in 17 ODIs and 9 T20Is but majorly excelled in the longest format and got the tag of India’s Test specialist.
The news of Vijay’s retirement attracted good luck wishes from former and active cricketers.
Notably, Vijay was also part of India’s Champions Trophy triumph in 2013, and most of the heartwarming tributes for him came from the fellow champion teammates.
