India batter KL Rahul tied the marriage knot with his long-time girlfriend and Bollywood Athiya Shetty on Monday (January 23). Athiya is the daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty, and the weddi🔯ng ceremony took place at a farmhouse in Khand🍌ala.
Ra๊hul and Athiya’s private wedding function was only attended by the ꧋couple’s family members and some close friends. Despite having the invite, Rahul’s cricketer friends and Athiya’s friends from the film fraternity gave the wedding a miss due to their busy schedules.
Team India was scheduled to play the third ODI against New Zealand in Indore on Tuesday (January 24), and that’s why Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others failed to make it to the wedding.
Though Kohli could not attend the marriage ceremony, he gave a meꦓmorable gift to Ra𝓀hul and Athiya.
According to reports, Kohli has gifted the newlyweds a BMW luxury car worth Rs 2.17 crore. The father of the bride has gifted the couple an apartment worth Rs 50 lakh, whereas Bollywood actor Salman Khan gifted Athiya an Audi car worth Rs 1.64 crore.
