The year 2022 entertained fans with a lot of multi-format series played between various countries. Despite the primary focus on the shortest ﷽format due to the multi-te🎶am T20 events such as Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, there were quite a few ODI matches.
This year’s first series was played between Ireland and West Indies, while the last was held between Bangladesh and India. Bilal Khan of Oman had a memorable 2022 as he finished the year at the number one spot of the top 10 highest wicket-takers list. Bilal played 16 games and went on to take 43 wickets, with 5/31 being his best performance. Bilal also bagged as many as three five-wicket hauls. Similarly, Nepalese bowler Sompal Kami also had a briไlliant 2022 as he picked up 35 scalps in 20 matches
In the top 10 highest wicket-taker list, only two players featured from the Test-playing nations, and both of them are spinners. Australian spin sensation Adam Zampa finished 2022 as the sixth leading wicket-taker after he bagged 30 scalps in 12 games at an economy rate of just under five. Similarly, West Indies star Akeal Hosein also features in the list as he pic༒ked up 30 wickets in 2022, with 4/39 being his best.
