England defeated Pakistan in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2022 final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to bag their second World T2🌄0 title on Sunday❀.
Six years after heartbreak in Kolkata, Ben Stokes finally has his T20 redemption. He als💫o etched his name in history with unbeaten half-centuries in consecutive World Cup victories 🦹for England. Stokes played an undefeated 52 off 49 balls to guide England to a 5-wicket win.
Chasing the paltry target of 138, England were indeed in a spot of bother after losing four wickets for 84, but Stokes and Moeen Ali (19) formed a match-winning 48 runs partnership to take 💃the game 🉐away from Pakistan.
Earlier, England bowled with complete discipline and restricted Pakistan to 137/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Sam Curran, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan shined with the ball and kept tཧhe pressure on💞 Pakistan batters.
Curran picked up the maximum three wickets for just 12 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Similarly, Rashid bagged a couple for 22 and Jordan took two scalps for 27. For the Men in Green, Shan Masood with 38 off 28 was the top run-scorer.
