England outclassed Pakistan across departments with their all-round performance. Put in to bat first on a bowling-friendly pitch, Babar Azam & Co. struggled against the potent English bowling attack led by Sam Curran (3/12). Adil Rashid (2/22) and Chris Jordan (2/27) also chipped in at crucial moments. England bowlers were so effective that Pakistan batters could smash only eight fours and a couple of sixes during their innings. Shan Masood top-scored with 38 off 28 balℱls as Pakistan posted just 137/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, all-rounder Ben Stokes unleashed the match-winner in himself and played a sensible knock of 52 not out off 49 deliveries. He helped England chase the set target in 19 over♈s with five wickets in hand.
