Pakistan registered a commanding victory over New Zealand in the first semi-final to enter the final of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday.

The victory has also opened up the prospect of a final clash between India and Pakistan. Notably, the Rohit Sharma-led side is currently taking on England in the second semi-final at Adelaide Oval. If the Man in Blue overpowers the Enꦿglish side, then arch-rivals India and Pakistan will play the final for the f🤡irst time in a World Cup since 2007.

Meanwhile, former New Zealand cricketer Danny Morrison, who is currently doing commentary in Australia, has lambasted a Pakista🉐ni fan for spreading fake news and hatred on social media.

The Pakistani fan used Morrison’s name and image and tweeted a fake quote. The fake statement was clearly targeted towards India, accusing them of being corrupt.

“I hope we see a Pakistan vs India final and Pakistan beat them. We all want justice against corrupt cricket mafia,” the fan quoted Danny Morrison.

The tweet soon went viral, and Morrison then responded to the fan, calling his tweet ‘absolute garbage’.

“I’ve just seen this… absolute garbage!!!!.. so over this crap on social platforms,” Morrison wrote in his reply.

Coming back to the semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam smashed respective half-centu𒅌ries to help the Men in Green win the contest by seven wickets and book a birth in ܫthe final.

Pakistan displayed disciplined bowling and top-class fielding to restrict New Zealand to 152/4. In response, Rizwan (57) and Azam (53) destroyed Black Caps’ bowling attack by forming the game-changing 105-run opening stand. Apart from the duo, Mohammad Haris (30 off 26 balls) p♒ropelled Pakistan to finish the game with five balls to ♚spare.
