The submission process of retained and released players for all 10 franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of the next season was completed on Tuesday (November 15). With that, the suspense over Ravindra Jadeja‘s future with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) also ended as the four-time champions announced Jaddu’s name in the list of retained players.
Notably, Jadeja’s future with the Yellow Army was the biggest talking point ahead of IPL 2023 mini-auction. Many media reports had claimed that CSK might part ways with the left-arm all-rounder, but every speculation was put to the rest by the Super Kings after they named Jadeja in the retained list. Following the update, Jadeja took to his official Twitter handle and shared a picture with MS Dhoni with a caption: “Everything is fine #restart.”
Everything is fine💛

Jadeja has a tremendous career in the cash-rich league where he has played 210 games and scored over 2500 runs at a strike rate of 127.65, including t💟wo half-centuries. His biggest contribution, however, is in the bowlingꦅ department as he has 132 wickets to his credit with one 5-wicket haul.
Meanwhile, the Super Kings, who finished ninth in IPL 2022, didn’t make significant changes when it comes to releasing players, barring Dwayne Bravo, the biggest name they let go of. However, CSK had released Bravo last year, too, only to buy him back at the auction. So it doesn’t seem to be a surprising move but rather a tactical one to avail his services in the next season again.
