A scintillating ton from top-order batter Rilee Rossouw helped South Africa to an emphatic 105-run vic♊tory over Bangladesh in their second Super 12 fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Thursday.
Batting first, the Proteas raced to 205 for five iꦓn 20 overs, courtesy of a record-breaking century by Rossouw. The left-hander smashed 109 ru🌳ns off 56 balls with the help of seven fours and eight sixes. He became the first South African player to score a century in T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock hammered 63 runs off 38 balls. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan claimed two wickets and gave 33 runs.
Defending the mammoth total, South Africa speedster Anrich Nortje sent back two Bangladesh batters in his first over and bowled at extreme pace to finish with career-best figures of 4/10. Wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi (3/20) bagged a three-wicket haul, while pace-spearhead Kagiso Rabada (1/24) took just one wicket in his three overs.
Bangladesh will be ♔up against Zimbabwe in Brisbane on Sunday morning, while South Africa next lock-horns with India in Perth the same day in the afternoon.

It was a swashbuckling display by Rilee Rossouw & Quinton de Kock, a partnership of 165 almost with a strike rate of almost 200 & how Anrich Nortje ex𝕴ploded in the middle of the pitch. His was genuine express pace. BD barring the first 10 deliveries of their innings were at 𓂃sea.
