Bowling first, Indian spinners completely dominated the proceedings, bundling them out for a mere 37 in 15.1 overs. The spin trio of Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana and Rajeshwari Gayakwad shared seven wickets between them.

Rana was the pick of the bowler for the Women in Blue. She bagged a brilliant three-wicket haul while conceding nine runs in her quota of 4 overs. Similarly, Deepti (2 for 10) and Gayakwad (2 for 9) picked up two wickets each. For Thailand, opener Nannapat Koncharoenkai was the only player to score 𝓰in double-digits (12🔥).

India then finished the contest by the close of powerplay at a loss of one wicket. Opener Sabbhineni Meghana (20 no) and Pooja Vastrakar (12 no) 🐬remained unbeaten as India won the match by nine w👍ickets.

“Playing for India and playing the 100th T20, it’s a special feeling. The girls made it special. This Indian team is a fun team to play with. Thailand played good cricket in this tournament. We were looking forward to come out and play. Our bowlers were brilliant. All three batters did their job. We have the semifinal after two days. We’ll be working hard, looking forward to go out and play that,” said India’s stand-in skipper Mandhana after the match.
