The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday revealed that fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the remaining two ODIs against South Africa with a stiff back.

Chahar would now head back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and will be monitored by the medical staff. The 30-year-old pacer was one of the three reserves in India’s T20 World Cup squad but it remains to be seen if he would be able to make the trip to Australia.

In the first ODI versus South Africa, a new-looked Team India led by Shikhar Dhawan lost to Temba Bavum🌃a & Co. by nine runs in Luckn♏ow.

Revised India squad: Shikhar Dhawan (captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer (vice-captain), Rajat Patidar, Rahul ꦡTripathi, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Mohd. Siraj, Washington 💦Sundar.
