Chasing 196, the tourists were bundled out for a mere 82 in 33 overs. Kane Williamson (17), Mitchell Santner (16 no), Michael Bracewell (12) and Daryl Mitchell (10) were the only batters who scored in doub💧le figures.
Zampa picked up five wickets while conceding only 35 runs in nine overs. Similarly, Mitchell Starc (2/12) and Sean Abott (2/1) bagged a couple of scalps each, while Marcus Stoinis (1/14) took one wicket in the match.

Smith, who was dismissed in the 37th over, played a wonderful knock of 61 runs from 94 deliveries with the help of five fours and a six. After Smith’s dismissal, it didn’t seem as if Australia would cross the 150-run mark, but the tailenders did the unthinkable and took the team’s total to 195/9 in 50 overs.
