On the third delivery of the 18th over in the second innings, Pakistan batter Asif Ali tried to send the ball out of the park, but top-edged a slog off India leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi only to end up playing a nothing shot.
Arshdeep, fielding at short third man, dropped a sitter. Had he taken that catch, Pakistan could have gone on back foot in the chase and India would have got a grip on the game. It was not to be as Babar Azam & Co. won the contest by five wickeꦉts in hand.

Former India batter Subramaniam Badrinath too took to Twitter to point out Arshdeep’s “lethargic” fielding effort at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. “Winning and Losing are a part of the sport, but the drop catch from Arshdeep was too lethargic,” he wrote.
