Team India captain Rohit Sharma, who retired hurt while batting on 11 off 5 balls in the third T20I of the five-match series against West Indies at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts, on Tuesday, has been regained full fitness and is all set to lead his side in the remaiඣning matches.
“Yes, Rohit has recovered from his back spasms and is fit now. He and coach Rahul Dravid will join the team in Miami after they had to go to Guyana with a few other players for interviews for the US Visa,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying to TOI.
Rohit has made scores of 64, 0 & 11 not out in the ongoing 20-over leg, which Men in Blue leads 2-1. He can, however, be rested for the last game if India seals the series with a win in the fourth T20I. India needs Rohit 100% fit for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, with clash against the arch-rivals Pakistan schedu🐬led on August 28 in Dubai.
Meanwhile, there is still no clarity about Harshal Patel’s availability for the final two encounters 🎶against West Indies. The right-arm pa🌞cer has been out of action due to a rib injury.
