England broke their own world record for the highest score in ODI cricket after smashing a humungous 498/4 against the Netherlands in the opening game of the ongoing three-match series at VRA𓂃 Cricket Ground in Amstelveen on Friday.
As many as three batters – Phil Salt (122 off 93), Dawid Malan (125 off 109), and Jos Buttler (162 not out of 70 balls) – smashed centuries while Liam Livingstone (66not out off 22 balls) provided finishing touches as England went on to ༒post the 🐓highest total in ODI history, beating their own record of 481/6 they had piled on against Australia at Trent Bridge in 2018.

Wicketkeeper-batter Scott Edwards (72) and Max Odowd (55) smashed respective half-centuries, but it wasn’t enough to reach even near the total of England. English all-rounder Moeen Ali✨ picked up three wicke🍃ts for 57 runs in his quota of 10 overs.
