In the first T20I of the ongoing two-match series between Ireland and India, the Hardik Pandya-led side won the contest, with the skipper and all-rounder Deepak Hooda setting up the visiting team’s seven-wicket victory.
In the game, which was reduced to 12 overs after rain delayed the start for more than two hours, Ireland lost early wickets before Harry Tector came up with a co🦹unterattack to help the hosts reac♒h a respectable total.
Tector, who struck six fou꧒rs and three sixes in his unbeaten 64 off 33, helped the Irish side finish with 108/4 in 12 overs.
In response, the tourists were 30/2 after losing Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav off successive deliveries. Before the home side could capitalise further, Hooda and Pandya joined hands and t🐟ook the game away from Ireland.
The pair formed a crucial stand of 64 runs for the third wicket before Joshua Little got rid of the Indian skipper for 24 to break the partnership. But 🌠it was too late for Ireland as India finished the proceedings in 9.2 overs, with Hooda playing an unbeaten knock of 47 from 29 deliveries.

One of the positives for Team India from the 1st T20I was Deepak Hooda. Opened for the first tim🧜e in T20s & scored 47*. His versatility as a batsman makes him an asset for any team in T20s.📖 Good finisher too, can bowl a couple of overs & a brilliant fielder
