Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja held a press conference on Friday where he claimed that the PCB would challenge BCCI’s proposed two-and-a-half month expanded window for the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the ICC AGM in July.

Notably, the international apex body is yet to make any announcement regarding an extended window for the IPL, but recently BCCI secretary Jay Shah had said that the Indian board is in talks with other countries concerning the 🤡two and a half months of IPL to allow all the top international players to be a part of the lucr𝓡ative league.

Not to mention the Indian cricket board doesn’t allow Pakistani players to take part in IPL due to the political relations between the two countries. As a result, the IPL window impacts Pakistan’s international season more than other members.

“There has been no announcement or decision as yet on the IPL window being increased. I will give my views on this issue at the ICC conference,” Raja said.

“My point is clear: if there is any development in world cricket that means we are being short-changed, we will challenge it in a very forceful manner and put our point across strongly in the ICC,” he added.

The PCB chief’s remarks on the cash-rich league didn’t go down well with the fans as they gave a reality check to Raja regarding the status of IPL in the international arena.
