BCCI announces squads for India Women’s white-ball tour of Sri Lanka

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Wednesday, announced the squads for India Women’s upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, starting June 23 in Dambulla. Both sides will lock horns in three T20 Internationals (T20Is) and as many One-Day internationals (ODIs).

After Mithali Raj’s retirement from international cricket, Harmanpreet Kaur, the T20I skipp😼er, has been handed over th��e responsibilities to lead the ODI side as well.

Jhulan Goswami, the veteran fast bowler, couldn’t find a place in the two-squads alongside Sneh Rana. Instead, all-rounder Harleen Deol has been called up to the outfit.

When it comes to the T20I squad, top-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues has made her comeback, while left-arm orthodox bowler Radha Yadav was also recalled in the shortest format.

  • ODIs: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia (wk), S Meghana, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Simran Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Pooja Vastrakar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Harleen Deol.
