KL Rahul notched up his second unbeaten century against Mumbai Indians (MI) as he pummelled the opposition bowlers to steer Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) t💫o their fourth win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The LSG skipper reached the three-figure mark in the penultimate over of the first innings with a boundary off MI seamer Tymal Mills.
Rahul made batting look like a walk in the park with 103 off 60 balls in his 100th IPL game to put the Rohit Sharma-led side all but out of the competition.
With an 18-run defeat in their sixth match of the seas🔯on, Mumbai crashed to their worst start in the history of IPL.
Brief scores: Lucknow Super Giants 199-4 in 20 overs (KL Rahul 103 not out, Manish Pandey ꦅ38; Jaydev Unadkat 2/32) beat Mumbai Indians 181-9 in 20 overs (Dewald Brevis 31, ꦇSuryakumar Yadav 37, Tilak Varma 26; Avesh Khan 3/30) by 18 runs.

This was always go🐻ing to be tough as there is just Bumrah who is a wicket taker in any phase in this line-up. Still didn’t expect six defeats in a row for them.

This is now the first time Mumbai Indians lost 6 consecutivꦺꩲe IPL matches.
MI have lost 5 in a row twice – both streaks in 2014-15.
