Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans (GT) were condemned to their first defeat of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 after a clinical finish by the Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Chasing 163 forꦜ victory, Williamson (57ജ off 46) notched up a well-paced half-century to help his side reach the set target with eight wickets in hand and five balls to spare.

On the bowling front, Bhไuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan took two wickets apiece while Marco Jansen and Umran Malik claimed a scalp each. While Bhuvneshwar sent back in-form Shubman Gill (7) early, Natarajan and Malik removed Sai Sudharsan (11) and Matthew Wade (19), respectively. Jansen, on the other hand, affected further damag♛e by dismissing David Miller on 12.

Pandya then aced to his 4th IPL fifty and Abhi𝐆nav Manohar scored 35, helping GT reach 162/7 in their stipulated 20 overs.
