In the second match of ongoing IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals (DC) pulled off an amazing chase against Mumbai Indians (MI) despite losing😼 their top three wickets inside the powerplay overs.
The Capitals needed 75 runs off 42 balls when Shardul Thakur departed after playing a cameo of 22 (11). But they weren’t done yet as Lalit Yadav (48 not out off 38❀🌺) and Axar Patel (38 not out off 17) propelled them to the finish line in 18.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand.
Opening batter Tim Seifert scored only 21 off 14 balls, but his flying catch during the first innings grabbed everyone’s attention.
The New Zealand international grabbed a beauty to send back the dangerous Kieron Pollard. It all happened on the fifth ball of the 16th over when DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav deceived Pollard with a faster one. The MI all-rounder played a flat shot, and Seifert, standing inside the ring at mid-wicket𝓀, flew to his left and caught the ball with much aplomb.
