Team India defeated West Indies in tꩲhe first T20I by six wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata to go 1-0 up in the three-mat🦂ch seri🐓es.
Chasing 158, the home team went off to an impressive start, with skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan forming a dominating opening stand of 64 runs. Rohit scored a quickfire 19-ball 40 with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes before Roston Chase dismissed him.

With his figures of 2/17, Bishnoi scripted a record as he joined the elite list of India bowlers who have picked up 2 or more wickets on their debut in the shortest format. Apart from the leg-spinner, Harshal Patel also picked up two scalps for 37 in 4 overs.
For the visitors, Nicholas Pooran top-scored with 61 from 43 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries, including five sixes. Opener Kyle Mayers (31) and captain Kieron Pollard (24 not🙈 out) chipped in with valuable contributions to take Windies to a competitive total.
