Langer had taken over as Australia men’s team head coach shortly after the infamous ball-tampering scandal in March 2018. Under his watchful eyes, Australia won the൲ir first-ever T20 World Cup title and went on to hammer England 4-0 in the recently-concluded Ashes, brightening the chances of Langer getting a contract ext꧙ension🍌. But it did not happen.
Meanwhile, Australian players have three weeks to prepare for their next assignment, a historic tour of Pakistan. Assistant coach Andrew McDonald, who was already arranged to lead the squad for the forthcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka, has been appointed as an interim 🎐head coach.
