The World Giants came out all guns blazing in the finals of the inaugural Legends League Cricket as they beat the Asia Lions by 25 runs to clinch the t𒆙itle in Muscat on Saturday.

In the high-octane clash, the Giants posted a mammoth total of 256/5 after being put in to bat by the Lions – courtesy a blistering 94 not off 43 from Corey Anderson.

In reply, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Sanath Jayasuriyaᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ gave the Lions a perfect start with their 25 and 38 respectively but it was certainly not enough in front of the giganti🐲c target.

Brief Scores: WGS 256 for 5 in 20 overs (Corey Anderson 94*, Kevin Pietersen 48; Nuwan Kulasekara 3/45) beat ALN 231 for 8 in 20 overs (Mohammad Yousuf 39*, Sanath Jayasuriya 38; Albie Morkel 3/ꦦ38) by 25 runs.
