Ashleigh Gardner has won her first Belinda Clark Award, beating Beth Mooney by 54 votes to be awarded the top honour at the Cricket Australia Awards on Saturday.

Gardner, an Indigenous Australian through her mother’s heritage, was rewarded for her consistency with both bat and ball.
