A hilarious incident took place during the 20th match of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2021-22.

Sydney Thunder all-rounder Ben Cutting suffered a brain-fade moment on the field during the Sydney Sixers’ innings.

On the fourth ball of the 16th over – the final over of the innings in a rain-shortened fixture – where the Thunder quick Nathan McAndrew bowled a sharp yorker to Christian after having erred with a no-ball on 🐬the previous delivery.

Christian hit 🅘the ball straigh♉t into the hands of Cutting, who was fielding on the offside inside the 30-yard circle. Cutting threw the ball in air, presuming a caught dismissal. He completely forgot that it was a free-hit delivery.

In the meantime, Christian and Jordan Silk completed a double and were seen bursting into laughter on the scenes that unfolded, while Cutting looked dejected with🐠 himself. Seeing the two batters laugh, even the commentators joined in the fun.
