The Yash Dhull-led Indian side crushed Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the final of the Under 19 Men’s Asia Cup 2021 to seal their eighꦆth title at the Dubai Interna💙tional Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Chasing the revised target of 102 in 38 overs due to the DLS method, India opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 56 off 67 balls to help his side register a dominating win over Sri Lanka in 21.3 overs. Shaik Rasheed also chipped in with a valuable 31 not out off ⛦49 deliveries.
Earlier, Indian bowlers put up a disciplined show to restrict Sri Lanka for just 106/9. Vicky Ostwal was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, including two in a single over. He co﷽nceded only 11 runs in 8 overs with three maide𝄹ns.
Apart from the Pune-lad, medium-pacer Ravi Kumar (1//17), Rajvardhan Hangargekar (1/26), and Raj Bawa (1/23) claimed one wicket each. All-rounder Kaushal Tambe took two wickets for 23 in six overs.
Sri Lankan tail-ender Yasiru Rodrigo top-scored for his team. He remained not out on 19 after 🐻facing 26 balls.
