The All-India Junior Selection Committee has picked a strong 20-member India squad for the ninth edition of the U19 Asia Cup, whi🅠ch is scheduled to be played in the UAE from December 23, 2021 to January 1, 2022.
Delhi batsman Yash Dhull has been named captai𒈔n of the Men in Blue for the multi-team tournament.
Dhull was a leading run-scorer in the V♏inoo Mankad Trophy earlier this year. He managed to score 30🌠2 runs for the DDCA at a phenomenal average of 75.50 in five matches.
The selectors have also announced a 25-member squad for a preparatory camᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Be🅺ngaluru from December 11-19, ahead of the upcoming event.
The selectors, however, mentioned that India’s squad for the forthcoming U19 World Cup, scheduled to take place in the West Indies from January 14 to February 4 next year, would be announced later.
Two-time defending champions India have won U-19 Asia Cup six times in last eight editions while sharing the coveted trophy with their archᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ-rꦉivals Pakistan in 2012.
