Chinese mobile manufacturer VIVO has pulled out its name as the title sponsor of the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The popular sentiment in India has been aggressively hostile towards Chinese bra🉐nds since the armed conflict between India and China took place in Galwan V♒alley.
After th🌱e latest IPL Governing Council meeting on Monday ( August 02), BCCI officially confirmed the schedule for the cash-rich league that has been shifted to UAE.
It was also reported that the apex cricketing body has decided to retain all sponsorship deals, including the Chinese ones.
This led to a lot o൩f rage and outcry among Indian fans on so🐬cial media. Sensing the negative publicity around its name, VIVO voluntarily decided to withdraw from the sponsorship agreement.
There’s a massive headache hovering over BCCI as the cash-rich league is without any leading sponsor just 45 days before the start of the tournament.
The netizens are not missing the oppor🌊tunity to suggest new sponsors, coming up with innovative proposals, and advising brands like Jio or Patanjali to the board.

Meanwhile, the league starts from Septem⛎ber 19 with the tournament final to be played on November 10 in UAE.
BCCI earns more than INR 200 crore every season from their sponsorship coꦆntract with VIVO, and the cancellation will add a considerable burden to the financial arms of the💫 board.
