On Saturday (August 15), Suresh joined MS Dhoni in formally announcing his retirement🦹 from all formats of international cricket. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vice-captain, like his best friend, made it official via an Instagram post.
“It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!”, Raina wrote, shortly after Dhoni hung up his boots.
The CSK duo, however, will continue to play in the IPL and have arrived in Chennai for a training camp ahead of their team’s departure for the UAE.
The 13th season of the IPL is scheduled to take pla🐼ce from September 19 to Novemb𝔍er 10.
Talking about Raina, the swashbuckling southpaw has been out of international crick🌠et action for quite a while. He last donned the India jersey on July 17, 2018, against England in the Leeds ODI.
