India’s wicket-keeper batsman, MS Dhoni, has gained a substantial amount of fandom f✨or his d🌱emeanour on the field.
Not only did he conquer hearts of many with his de⭕🐠fining knocks with the bat, but Dhoni also turned out to be an excellent ambassador of the game.
Even former Australian batsman and now a renowned commentator, Dean Jones, has lavished praises oܫn the Indian veteran. Jones included Dhoni among the top six Indian cricketers of all time.
“Look I am a huge MS Dhoni fan. I think he is among the top 6 greatest cricketers of all time for India. If he has a good IPL and the other boys don’t then come to the World Cup he might be looked at. So, it’s a big opportunity, and knowing MS he will prepare himself to absolute perfection to get himself ready for this and I hope he does well,” Jones told HT.
Apart fro🍬m his prowess with the bat as well as the gloves, Dhoni proved to be the best ca♎ptain in world cricket, clinching all prominent ICC titles.
Jones, who was part of the commentary team covering India’s tour of Pakistan in 2005, recalled the incident when President Pervez Musharraf asked Dhoni to keep his long hairdo. He tagged the instance as his favourite MSD moment.
“Probably the hair cut in Pakistan. I was commentating and President Musharraf told him to keep the hair cut and said he looked good in it. He is that style of player that even presidents and prime ministers talk about him because he really captivates everyone,” the 59-year-old added.
After a prolonged sabbatical from competitive cricket, Dh👍oni is all set to make a comeback, leading his beloved Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2020. Jones, then, looked f🌜orward to Dhoni featuring in the cash-rich league.
“What he does is he makes past players like myself and people to just move forward in their seats and watch how he goes about his cricket. There aren’t too many players who could do that. If you have gone to watch a match and MS is playing, people are always on the edge of their seats because they don’t know what he is going to do next. He is a great entertainer and I hope he will have a great IPL because I am looking forward to how he plays,” Jones concluded.
