MS Dhoni, lovingly called ‘Captain Cool’ by fans, on Saturday announced his retirement from international cricket. Sharing a video on his official Instagram account, he wrote, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”
Ranchi-born Dhoni is one of India’s most loved sportspersons.▨ On the field, he was known for his calm demeanour a💖nd cool disposition even when things were not going his way.
MSD-led India won the 2007 T20 World Cup held in South Africa. In 2011, the Men in Blue won their second ODI World Cup under Dhoni’s captaincy.
Apart f🃏rom his captaincy, Mahi is also known as one of the best wicket-keepers and a destructive finish🦄er batsman in limited-overs cricket and led the team to several unlikely wins through his batting.
