Cricke💝t South Africa (CSA) revealed that six people had been tested positive for coronavirus ahead of the 3 Team match that will be taking place on Saturday, July 18.
Ho🐈wever, CSA has꧒ not disclosed the identity of infected patients.
“Cricket South Africa can confirm that approximately 50 Covid-19 PCR tests were performed on players, coaches, support and venue staff during the period of 10 to July 13 at various venues across the country, in preparation for the 3 Team Cricket match that will be taking place on Saturday, July 18 2020,” CSA said in a statement.
“Six positive results were returned but none among any of the participating players. They have been managed by the CSA Medical team according to the current Department of Health & National Institute for Communicable Diseases guidelines.”

The format of the tournament is quite inventive where three teams each with eight players willᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ lock their horns simultaneously in a single match.
Former South African skipper AB de Villiers will be leading a teamꩲ calle♈d The Eagles while Quinton de Kock will be captaining The Kites.
Heinrich Klaa♏sen is tasked to captain The Kingfishers in the absence of Kagiso Rabada, who will miss the 🎉game due to the death of his family member.
This is a charity match, and the funds generated will be used to help those frontline workers who have endured a lot of hardships in the past few weeks due to the ongoღing pandemic.
