Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, through a seriesꦿ of🎃 Tweets, urged ICC to use technology to determine whether the non-striker is backing up before delivery.
Ashwin received a substantial amount of flak for his ‘Mankad’ dismissal of Jos Buttler during the last season of India🐈n Premier League (I🐲PL).
The controversial dismissal created a divide within the cri😼cketing fraternity. While some questioned the ‘spirit of cricket’ involved in the dismissal, others supported Ashwin f🍎or restoring a better balance in the game.

With the existing conditions favouring batsman more already, a non-striker holding an advantage of an extra yard before🦂 the delivery proves handy while running between wickets.
“Putting the same batsmen on strike might cost me a 4 or a 6 from the♛ next ball and eventually cost me 7 more runs instead of maybe a 1 and a dot ball possibility at a different batsman. The same will mean 💫massively for a batter wanting to get off-strike even in a test match,” the Tamil Nadu tweaker continued.
