Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has the luxury of rich depth in their leadership group in the form of Kane Williamson and David Warner.
Warner successfully led the SRH side 🌊to title victory in the 2016 season of the Indian Premier League (SRH). But, during his absence from the game, while serving a ban-period, Williamson took over the helms for the Hyde♔rabad-based franchise.
T🧜he New Zealand all-format skipper successfully led SRH to the final of the 2018 IPL season. Warner was later reinstated as the captain of SRH, back in March this year💛.
Moreover, Williamson remains an in𝄹tegral part of SRH line-up with both bat and also as a natural leader.
Now, the 2019 World Cup runner-up is looking forward to featuring in the 2020 edition of the IPL and explained why the experience of the best T20 league in the world is ‘amazing’.
“Considering what it actually looks like where it is and all the details that come with it, to play in the IPL is always an amazing thing so, absolutely, it will be great to play in it and be a part of it. But there’s a lot of details to come through before any final decisions will be made. It will be nice to know more,” Williamson told EspnCricinfo.
“There’s nothing concrete, with the postponement of the T20 World Cup announced only a day or two ago. No doubt there’s a lot of organising that needs to be done or any sort of decision is made, and I guess they are wanting to make sure that things are planned before speaking to players with any certainty,” he added.
On Monday, the apex cricketin♔g body in India, BCCI, confirmed its stance on hosting the season in the September-October window, currently vacant wit🔜h the cancellation of the ICC T20 World Cup.
“In terms of the IPL as an isolated event. They’re looking at the best options to host it in a safe place where people can be quarantined much like you’re seeing with other sports around the world. As I said, there’s a lot of planning still to be done to make sure that happens and we only know what we know and that’s no different from what you’re hearing,” Williamson concluded.
